A normal day at The Willow will begin with a mixture of free play and optional activities followed by ‘Circle Time’, when the children take part in role play, singing, playing instruments and ‘show and tell’.

They then split into age appropriate groups for number and letter work or craft activities. After break the children are offered a variety of activities during the week from outdoor play, Playball, dancing, PE activities, messy craft, paint and collage, music or even a trip outside into their local community.

Our topic is generally threaded throughout all our activities which encompasses the seven areas of learning set out by Ofsted in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Afternoon sessions are offered where the children undertake a variety of outdoor activities in our garden and indoor activities like yoga. The older children begin to get an idea of a full day at school.
